This book, In Love with the World, is an amazing book by one of the great masters today, Mingur Rinpoche. 

This is the most readable and interesting Buddhist book I have personally read. Mingur Rinpoche who was surrounded by hundreds of Western students and Tibetan monks who idolize him and who at the age of 32 had never cooked a meal, never travelled less than first class, had been taken out to the best restaurants and hotels by his students secretly left his monastery and headed out to be a homeless person. He then describes the multitude of Buddhist lessons and insights that he received while traveling in the 3rd class Indian railroad in which he was one of the few who even had a pair of shoes packed in with 30 or 40 people.

Pema Chodron says, “...His willingness to describe this process in such intimate detail has been an immense help to my own path and makes this one of the most inspiring books I have ever read.”
