In the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism there is a tradition of the main practice of Dzogchen. This practice can be traced back to the Bon lineage which is much older than the Nyingma tradition which is established in the 7th century.

The Instruction on the Six Lamps is bascially the Bon practice to Togyal of the Nyingmas and involves six major practices to reveal the true nature of reality (Dharmadhatu). This book is a careful and complete description of these practices.
