Chenrezig or Avalokiteshvara in Sanskrit is the most popular deity in Tibetan Buddhism. For over a 1,000 years Tibetan Lamas have used the Chenrezig practice to develop love and compassion. Love and compassion are the centerpiece of any Buddhist practice and the development of bodhichitta. The practice is very easy to do and, in fact, all the school age children recite this practice at the end of their day in Thrangu Rinpoche’s elementary school.

Several famous great Tibetan masters such as the Dalai Lama and the Karmapa are so close and involved in this practice that they are considered to be emanation of Chenrezig. And many far and wide outside Tibet have heard Chenrezig’s famous mantra: OM MANI PEDME HUM.

The Chenrezig Practice with Guidance is a 36-page booklet which has the Chenrezig Practice with the transliteration, and the English translation. The Guidance is in a box along the right side of the page with the visualization, the mudras, the music and an explanation of meaning of the words and sections in the practice.

In addition, the practice has It also has a transcript of one of Thrangu Rinpoche's few teachings on the Chenrezig practice, a short one page practice, and a chart of the Mani syllables and thier 6 qualities.
