One of Thrangu Rinpoche's most popular publications is the Medicine Buddha Teachings.
The Medicine Buddha which consists of over 200 pages translated by Lama Yeshe Gyamptso consists of basically four different parts. First there is an 87 page verse-by-verse explanation of how to do the actual Medicine Buddha Practice. Second, the book gives the Medicine Buddha practice in Tibetan script, transliteration, and English. The third part is a comprehensive commentary on the most important part of the Medicine Buddha sutra, the Twelve Extraordinary Aspirations for the Benefit of Sentient Beings. This 84 page commentary of the most important aspect of the Medicine Buddha sutra covers the benefit of the practice, how the mudras clarify the visualization, benefits of recollecting the Medicine Buddha’s name and how it protects us, and the correct view of Deities and Maras. Finally, the book gives the sadhana again, but this time has a literal word for word translation of the text.
