Song of the Way View

Thrangu Rinpoche is one of the foremost Scholars and Practitioners of the Karma Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. He was classically trained in Tibet and has centers in North America, Europe, and Asia. Since 1980, Rinpoche has taught students West and also Asia. He has also published 45 books on a wide variety of Buddhist topics in English.

The best way to receive these teachings without being there is this series of 8 videos in which Rinpoche teaches the topic in Tibetan and is translated into English by his translator David Karma Choephel. Each video is about one and a half hours long and includes questions and answers from students.

The topic is a commentary on the extraordinary realized teacher Rolpe Dorje's Song of Realization was given in Crestone, Colorado in 2009. This doha of Rolpe Dorje was written in the 18th century and concerns recognizing the nature of mind. He characterizes our failure to recognize our own mind as being like a small child sitting in his mother’s lap who forgets where he is and looks for his mother everywhere else.

This teaching will be published in book form by Shambhala Publications entitled Harmony of the View will be coming out in August of 2020. This book will also include two more long teachings by Thrangu Rinpoche.

This set of 12 teachings on VIDEO each about an hour long and has Thrangu Rinpoche's teachings in Tibetan, a translator translating and questions and answers from the audiance.
